Writingchoosing an app

Best NoFap apps for iPhone, compared

Pick by what you need. QUITTR and Brainbuddy list a tracker, a blocker and a community. Fortify, QUITPRN and NoFap.io list tracking but no blocker. Covenant Eyes pairs blocking with an ally who sees your activity. Monke Reset is a solo streak game with a blocker and Help for the minute of an urge.

Most apps people call a NoFap app do one of two jobs: they track your streak, or they block porn. A few do both. Here is who should pick which:

  • You want a community to quit with. QUITTR or Brainbuddy. Both list a tracker, a blocker and a community with shared challenges.
  • You want coaching or therapy alongside tracking. Fortify lists lifestyle coaching and teletherapy.
  • You only want a counter, and free. NoFap.io lists itself as completely free, with a streak timer and an urge button.
  • You want someone to see your activity. Covenant Eyes, whose Victory Shield sends screenshots and domain reports to an ally.
  • You want to do it alone, as a game, with a blocker. Monke Reset, which is ours.

Everything in the table comes from each app's US App Store listing, as listed on 17 October 2026. "Not listed" means the listing doesn't mention it, which doesn't prove the app lacks it.

What the table leaves out

QUITTR and Brainbuddy read alike. Both describe a neuroscience-based programme, a Life Tree that grows with your choices and a community, and both say a subscription is required for full access. Brainbuddy says all features need its Premium subscription after onboarding. If you search for "Quit Porn Now", you may also find an app called QuitPorn: Now, whose listing uses many of the same headings as QUITTR's.

Fortify describes itself as more than a filter: a personalised assessment, then videos, challenges and goal tracking, with coaching, teletherapy and a community. It is the one here that lists access to therapy.

QUITPRN lists a 90-day programme, daily challenges, guided meditations and a Life Tree, with premium content on a subscription.

NoFap.io lists a streak timer, a panic button with breathing and a five-minute timer, mood check-ins, 17 badges and streak freezes, which you earn by staying clean and spend to protect your streak after a slip. It says it has no subscriptions and keeps your data on the device.

Covenant Eyes is built on accountability and describes itself as a solution for Christians. Victory Shield requires a Victory account and a subscription. The full comparison is in a Covenant Eyes alternative for iPhone.

About the name NoFap

NoFap is a registered trademark. It's used here only to describe the kind of app people search for. Monke Reset is not affiliated with NoFap, or with the app called NoFap.io.

Where Monke Reset fits

Monke Reset is a streak game with a blocker built in. Your Monke grows through 11 looks as the days add up, from day 1 to day 1000, and each badge lands with a full-screen celebration. A 90-day grid fills in one cell per day, so you can see the plan moving.

When an urge hits, Help is one tap from the home screen or a long-press on the app icon. It types out short lines one at a time and quotes the reason you wrote down, if you wrote one. "I'm okay" logs an urge resisted, and an urges-resisted chart shows your last seven days. "I relapsed" opens the relapse sheet. A relapse sends the streak back to day 0, but your best streak, badges and calendar stay, so a slip restarts the count without wiping out what you built.

To block, it turns on Apple's Screen Time adult-content filter, adds 49 named adult domains and blocks the apps you pick, with an optional Safari content blocker on top. It needs no account and has no community, so if you want people around you, QUITTR or Brainbuddy fits better. It is paid, runs on iPhone only, and the App Store shows the current terms before you're charged.

If you'd rather start free

Every iPhone has a free adult-website filter in Screen Time. It covers the blocking half of the table and none of the tracking. The steps are in how to block porn on an iPhone, and the different kinds of blocker are compared in the best porn blocker for iPhone.
